Optavia Weight Loss Program has been in business for over 10 years helping people to lose weight through their program. This product has received numerous awards and continues to be sold with great success by most consumers. However, this does not mean that there are no problems associated with this product. I have listed some of the problems I have personally come across with this program to give you an insight into what to expect if you decide to use this system.
The biggest problem that I have come across with this program is that it uses a lot of ”fuelings” to slim you down. These fuelings can be found in the form of pills, shakes, or even bars. While the Optavia Weight Loss program does talk about how you should eat when going through the weight loss program, they also promote a lot of these ”fuelings”. These are foods that are high in sugar and/or calories. These foods should be eaten in moderation and only in the event that you need them to help you lose weight. However, if you consume more than you need in a given day, then these should be avoided.
This ”fueling” practice will lead to an unnatural weight gain that is hard to shed off. If you are not careful, then you can easily get addicted to these ”fuelings”. Your body will crave these calories and weight gain due to your body’s inability to handle excess fuel. By using these ”fuelings”, you are simply replacing them with new ones such as fat and/or sugar.
Another major problem I have come across with this program is that it promotes a one program way to lose weight, which is extremely unrealistic. There are many factors that can contribute to your weight such as genetics, fat accumulation, metabolism, and healthy eating habits etc. This is why it is extremely important for you to do your personal research on the best weight loss plan based on your unique needs.
My personal experience with Optavia has been that it helped me to successfully shed off some weight, but my success cannot be guaranteed by anyone. What I can tell you though is that this system is completely unhealthy when it comes to creating long term weight loss. It is highly unrealistic to expect that you will lose 100 pounds in the first week, and this kind of program is not designed for long term use. You should always look for other alternatives that are proven to work.
Another major issue with this weight losing program is that it promotes a lot of ”fuelings” to burn off extra calories. This can result in a lot of problems such as malnutrition, dehydration and many more. It is highly unrealistic to think that you will lose 100 pounds in the first week because most people eat between five and eight thousand calories per day, which is way more than what is required by the human body.
